The Soundroom is a dynamic Community Project based in Teams, Gateshead (North East England). With an emphasis on`Music, The Soundroom provides the local community with a wide range of learning activities, resources and services including Music, Video and Multimedia ICT.

The Project is run by a voluntary management committee who actively encourage participation by all sections of the local community.The Soundroom is supported by Gateshead Council's Youth and Community Learning Services department.

The Soundroom features:

• Training facilities for both Young People and Adult Learners,
• A digital recording studio,
• Video creation and editing facilities,
• Multimedia computers,
• Rehearsal rooms
