OUR RECORDING FACILITIES
Recording Studio
The Soundroom has a fully equipped professional recording studio.
All the equipment along with a sound engineer are provided to make this a pleasurable and memorable experience whatever your sound.
We can record full bands, Choirs, Solo singers/musicians in our spacious live room. We can mix and master albums, demos or just add some shine to your voice.
We can also record and edit Spoken Word, projects (plays / interviews/ radio broadcasts). Vocals on to backing tracks (please supply your backing/Karaoke tracks) Sound effects for drama production. Audio tracks for videos.
If you maybe just want to hire our space or intend to mix it yourself or with an external engineer, feel free to ask any questions about your project and we will find a way to help.
We can supply the finished work as sound files for your computer/device or on CDs and we even have a cassette tape duplication service.
Recording Pricing
prices start at £20 Per Hour
We offer reduced community room hire for local voluntary groups (day time)
In a typical two hour session we can normally record vocals on to 2/3 backing tracks.
Every Recording booking with The Soundroom directly supports our local programme of Gateshead community arts projects.

For the Technically Minded
The Soundroom Studio costs from £20 per hour, including the engineer. Our studio is equipped with the following:

Audio interface Mac Pro 2 x quad core processing Logic Pro 10
Mics: SE 2200a Rode NT1, 8 AKG C1000's, matched Rode NT5s Shure SM 58's, SM57's AKG c3000
Monitoring: Genelec 1029A Spendor Prelude
Full use of drums and back line: Mapex Meridian Birch kit, Marshall MBB 4410 bass amp, Hartke HA3000 Bass amp and VX series cabs (4x10 and 1x15) Line 6, Marshall guitar amps Fender Deville valve amp
Live room with separate drum booth and vocal booth if required
Professional Stage and venue space with live streaming equipment
Instruments available:
Yamaha P-70 weighted action piano (can be used as MIDI controller for software instruments).
