Our Spaces - 4 rehearsal rooms to choose from, our very spacious 3 main rooms are newly renovated, accessible and suitable for anything up to 7+ piece bands, our additional lower ground rooms offer a nice secluded independant space for drum practice and rehearsals.
Each room comes complete with professional PA and full back line, yes drums, amps, cymbals and mics are all included in the price! we also have an abundance of instruments available to hire and a library of old sheet music to browse.
Affordably priced from £8 Per Hour daytimes and £10 Per Hour evenings (downstairs)and remember every rehearsal booking with The Soundroom directly supports our local programme of Gateshead community arts projects.

Community Events
The project regularly organises or participates in events. These include fundraising, celebratory nights, which might involve bands who use the project, young people's groups, aspiring singers and songwriters, spoken word and local theatre group show cases.
Partnership Working
We welcome partnership proposals from individuals and small organisations.
In particular, we’d love to hear from artists, musicians, and community groups looking to develop, deliver, or support music and arts activity in Gateshead.
If your project needs our music making or recording team support, please include a contribution to our core costs in any funding application, this is so our work is properly valued and staff are paid fairly.
Guide rates:
· Freelance Musicians’ Union rate: £42.50/hour.
· Youth workers, studio technician support, and safeguarding staff, start from £20/hour. (For under-16s activity, two staff members must be present)
